Jacksonville, FL (January 27, 2025) – A tragic motorcycle accident on Interstate 295 at Old St. Augustine Rd claimed the lives of two men on Sunday afternoon. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the fatal collision occurred at approximately 1:00 p.m., leading to significant traffic disruptions for hours.
Authorities reported that the two riders, a 41-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, both from Jacksonville, were traveling southbound in the left center lane when their motorcycles sideswiped one another. The impact caused both riders to lose control and be ejected from their bikes, landing on the inside and outside shoulders of the highway.
