Jasper County, MO (January 10, 2025) – A two-vehicle accident occurred late Thursday morning around 11:35 AM at the intersection of MO-37 and Baseline, approximately six miles south of Golden City. The crash involved a 2016 Peterbilt semi-truck and a 2019 GMC Acadia, leaving one individual injured.
According to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened when the Peterbilt, driven by a 48-year-old male from Mountain View, MO, pulled into the path of the eastbound GMC Acadia. The collision caused moderate damage to the GMC Acadia, which required towing by S & S Wrecker in Jasper. The semi-truck sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
The driver of the GMC Acadia, a 44-year-old female from Golden City, MO, sustained minor injuries in the crash. Emergency medical services transported her to Mercy Hospital in Carthage for treatment. The driver of the Peterbilt was uninjured.
