Jefferson Co, MO – Two-Vehicle Injury Accident on MO-141 at 13th St

September 16, 2025

Jefferson Co, MO (September 16, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle collision occurred Monday afternoon on southbound MO-141 at 13th St, leaving one driver injured. The crash happened around 3:33 p.m. when a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu failed to keep a proper lookout and struck the rear of a 2020 Ford F-150 stopped in traffic.

The driver of the Malibu, a 72-year-old woman from Fenton, was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered moderate injuries in the impact. She was transported by Rock Township Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital South for treatment. The driver of the Ford, a 30-year-old man from Arnold, was properly restrained and was not reported injured.

Both vehicles sustained total damage and were towed from the scene by Miners Towing. Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop C investigated the incident, with assistance from local responders.

We extend our hopes for a smooth recovery to the injured driver following this crash.

Rear-End Collisions in Missouri

The crash on MO-141 underscores the dangers of rear-end collisions, one of the most frequent accident types on Missouri’s busy roadways. Failure to maintain attention to stopped or slowing traffic often results in significant damage and injuries. In this case, the injured driver was not wearing a seatbelt, which likely contributed to the severity of her injuries.

Jefferson County’s major corridors, including MO-141, experience heavy traffic during the afternoon commute, increasing the risk of chain-reaction or rear-end crashes. Factors such as distracted driving, speeding, and fatigue commonly play a role.

For drivers, the incident serves as an important reminder of the need to maintain safe following distances, stay alert, and always wear seatbelts. Proper restraint use can significantly reduce the risk of severe injury in collisions like Monday’s.
