Jefferson County, MO (September 2, 2025) – Emergency responders were called to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash late Monday morning that left three women injured, one seriously. The collision occurred around 10:45 a.m. on eastbound Missouri 30 at West Rock Creek Road.
First responders, including medics from North Jefferson County and local EMS units, treated multiple victims and coordinated transport to nearby hospitals. The crash involved three vehicles: an eastbound 2017 Ford F-150 driven by a 31-year-old man from Kansas City, an 80-year-old woman from Fenton driving a 2013 Infiniti G37X, and a westbound 2025 GMC Yukon occupied by a 44-year-old woman from Eureka.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the Infiniti, traveling westbound, struck the passenger side of the Ford F-150 heading east. Both vehicles rotated upon impact and collided with the stationary Yukon, which was stopped at a nearby traffic light.
The driver of the Infiniti suffered serious injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital South. Two other female passengers—one from the Ford F-150 and another from the Yukon—sustained moderate injuries and were transported to hospitals in Fenton and South St. Louis County.
Paramedics and fire personnel worked quickly to stabilize the injured victims before arranging transport. All three vehicles sustained extensive or moderate damage and were removed from the scene by High Ridge Towing. Troopers from Troop C are currently investigating the sequence of events leading up to the crash.
Our thoughts are with the injured individuals as they recover, and we extend our hope for their swift and full healing.
Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Missouri
Crashes involving three or more vehicles—like the incident on Missouri 30 in Jefferson County—are often caused by sudden driver errors, misjudgments, or failures to yield. In Monday’s collision, the chain reaction began with an 80-year-old driver crossing into eastbound traffic, leading to a secondary impact involving a vehicle already stopped at a light. These complex dynamics are common at high-traffic intersections where both through-traffic and turning movements converge.
Missouri highways, particularly in suburban and exurban counties like Jefferson, see a mix of commuter and local drivers navigating high-speed corridors. Routes such as MO-30 are often the site of major collisions due to traffic density, high speeds, and sudden changes in flow near intersections like West Rock Creek. In this case, all involved vehicles were insured, and all victims were using proper safety restraints—factors that likely mitigated the severity of injuries.
Still, the crash resulted in one victim with serious injuries and two with moderate trauma, demonstrating how even brief moments of misjudgment can lead to long-term consequences. Injured individuals and their families often face hospital bills, extended recovery periods, and emotional stress in the days that follow.
For older drivers in particular, incidents like this underscore the importance of routine medical evaluations and ensuring full awareness of road conditions. Meanwhile, other motorists can benefit from heightened vigilance near traffic signals, especially in areas where visibility may be limited by curves or inclines.
Local Accident Reports continues to track traffic incidents like this one to help raise awareness and support the recovery efforts of crash victims throughout Missouri.
