Johnson Valley, CA (January 30, 2026) – Two people were injured late Thursday night following an off-road rollover accident involving a Can-Am vehicle near the “Chocolate Thunder” trail area in Johnson Valley, San Bernardino County.
The incident occurred around 11:05 p.m. in a remote desert location popular among off-roading enthusiasts. According to California Highway Patrol dispatch logs, the rollover happened near the GPS coordinates 34.415040, -116.502360 — an area commonly referred to by locals as “KOH Chocolate Thunder.”
Due to the terrain, first responders faced challenges accessing the scene. Emergency personnel confirmed that two individuals sustained injuries during the rollover and required medical assistance. The extent of their injuries has not yet been publicly released.
Authorities coordinated efforts to reach the victims, and additional off-road-capable units were called to assist. The accident remains under investigation, with officials working to determine the events that led up to the crash.
