Jurupa Valley, CA (January 4, 2025) – A tragic pedestrian accident in Jurupa Valley on Thursday evening left one person dead and another in critical condition. The collision occurred shortly after 6 p.m. near the intersection of Mission Blvd and Soto Ave, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Emergency responders arrived to find two pedestrians lying in the roadway, along with the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash. Medics provided immediate care before transporting both victims to a nearby hospital. Tragically, one of the victims, identified as 42-year-old Freddie Medina, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The second victim remains in critical condition as of Friday evening.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
