Kansas City, MO (January 11, 2026) – A motor vehicle accident with injuries was reported on Saturday at the intersection of East 23rd St and Indiana Ave in Kansas City, prompting a response from local emergency crews.
The crash occurred during the afternoon hours and involved at least two vehicles. Witnesses in the area reported a loud impact followed by visible damage to the vehicles involved. Emergency medical personnel and fire crews responded quickly to the scene to assist those injured.
At least one individual required medical attention and was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The condition of the injured party has not yet been made public.
Authorities closed off a portion of the intersection to allow responders to manage the scene and clear the wreckage. Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles, and normal traffic flow resumed a short time later.
Kansas City Police are investigating the cause of the collision and have not released further information at this time.
