Knoxville, TN – Head-On Crash on Holston Dr Causes Injuries

May 13, 2025

Knoxville, TN (May 13, 2025) – Medics and fire crews worked to assist those suffering from injuries after a head-on crash Monday evening on Holston Dr near Ault Rd. The collision occurred after suspects in a red Nissan Altima fled a traffic stop initiated by Knoxville Police.

According to officials, the initial stop took place around 7:45 p.m. when an officer observed the Nissan run a red light at Martin Luther King Jr. Ave and Fern St. The vehicle contained three occupants—identified as Bryant Page, 25, Dyshawn McNeil, 33, and a third passenger—who were reportedly acting suspiciously. When the officer returned to his vehicle to request backup, the Nissan fled the scene at high speed.

Within moments, the fleeing vehicle collided head-on with a Toyota Sequoia on Holston Dr. Knoxville Fire Department personnel were required to extricate both drivers from the wreckage. All individuals involved in the crash, including the suspects and the female driver of the Toyota, were transported to UT Medical Center for treatment.

Police reported that Page suffered serious injuries but is expected to survive.

Fleeing Incidents and Crash Consequences in Tennessee

Fleeing a traffic stop is a dangerous and illegal action that frequently leads to violent outcomes, especially when it results in collisions with innocent motorists. Monday’s crash on Holston Dr in Knoxville is a clear example of the risks associated with such behavior.

Knoxville and other Tennessee cities have seen an increase in vehicle incidents tied to evasion, with many resulting in serious or fatal injuries. These crashes often occur at high speeds and can leave victims with lasting physical and emotional harm. Legal consequences for those who flee from police typically include felony charges and civil liability for resulting damages.

Victims in these situations may be eligible for compensation through insurance claims or legal action. Immediate medical care, thorough documentation, and legal counsel are essential steps to take following such traumatic events.
