LaGrange, GA (January 16, 2026) – A tragic crash claimed the life of a 6-year-old boy Thursday afternoon after he was struck by a vehicle along the 1500 block of Hogansville Rd, according to the LaGrange Police Department.
The incident occurred around 2:46 p.m., prompting an urgent response from officers and medical personnel. The young child was transported by medics to West Georgia Medical Center, where he was sadly pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
Authorities have not released the identity of the child or the driver involved. Details surrounding the circumstances of the crash remain unclear, including whether the child was in a crosswalk or along the sidewalk at the time he was hit. Investigators have also not indicated if speed, distraction, or any other factors played a role in the collision.
