Lansing, MI (April 25, 2025) – Emergency crews from the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office responded to a serious crash involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck at the intersection of Waverly Rd and Columbia Rd on Thursday, April 24. The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. and left one man critically injured.
According to officials, a 66-year-old motorcyclist from Lansing was traveling northbound on Waverly Rd when he failed to yield at a traffic light, striking a pickup truck that was crossing on Columbia Rd. The pickup truck was driven by a 33-year-old Lansing man, who was fortunately unharmed in the crash.
The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. Authorities continue to investigate the crash and are encouraging anyone with information about the incident to contact Sgt. Adam Jackson of the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.
