Las Vegas, NV (January 17, 2026) – A crash involving multiple vehicles resulted in injuries Friday evening at the intersection of W Cheyenne Ave and N Grand Canyon Dr in northwest Las Vegas.
First responders, including paramedics and fire personnel from Las Vegas Fire & Rescue, arrived at the scene shortly after the accident occurred at approximately 6:56 p.m. on January 16. Several individuals sustained a variety of injuries, and medics worked at the scene to assess and treat those involved. Some of the injured were transported to nearby medical facilities for additional care.
The incident took place at a major intersection near residential areas and shopping centers, creating temporary traffic disruptions as crews worked to assist victims and clear the roadway. The full extent of injuries has not yet been released, but authorities have classified the event as an injury accident.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Traffic Bureau is currently handling the investigation. Officers are reviewing physical evidence, speaking with witnesses, and assessing potential contributing factors such as road conditions, driver behavior, and visibility.
Traffic at the intersection was eventually restored, and no further delays were reported overnight. Updates on the condition of those injured and any contributing causes may be released as the investigation progresses.
