Las Vegas, NV (September 4, 2025) – A tragic accident claimed the life of a 58-year-old Las Vegas man Tuesday evening after a crash on Charleston Blvd near Heavenly Hills Ct, close to Durango Dr. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision occurred just before 7:30 p.m. when the man, a wheelchair user, attempted to cross Charleston outside of a marked crosswalk.
Police reported that the man entered the path of a 22-year-old driving a Nissan Sentra. The driver pulled over immediately following the collision and remained at the scene. Authorities noted that he showed no signs of impairment. Emergency medical services transported the pedestrian to UMC Trauma, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
The incident marks the 109th traffic-related fatality within Metro’s jurisdiction in 2025. Charleston Blvd was partially restricted while police conducted on-site investigations and documented evidence.
