Lee County, FL (January 28, 2025) – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash involving a motorcycle and two vehicles that occurred on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Evergreen Rd.
Troopers responded to the scene around 5:17 p.m. According to reports, a 28-year-old woman from North Fort Myers was driving west on Evergreen Rd when her vehicle entered the northbound lanes of U.S. 41, directly into the path of an approaching motorcycle.
The motorcycle, operated by a 70-year-old man from North Fort Myers, collided with the side of the first vehicle. Tragically, the motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries in the crash.
The impact caused the first vehicle to veer across the southbound lanes of U.S. 41, where it struck a third vehicle driven by a 55-year-old man from Fort Myers. The driver of the first vehicle sustained minor injuries, while the third driver was reportedly uninjured.
