Lexington, KY (January 17, 2026) – A traffic collision with injuries was reported late Friday night on Interstate 64 Eastbound near mile marker 74.4, close to the North Split interchange in Lexington.
The crash occurred at approximately 11:08 p.m. on January 16 in Fayette County. Emergency crews responded to the scene to assist injured individuals involved in the accident. Paramedics provided on-site medical treatment and transported at least one person to a local hospital for further care. The severity and number of injuries have not yet been publicly released.
The incident took place along a high-speed section of I-64, where merging lanes from multiple interstates often lead to complex traffic patterns. Temporary delays were reported in the area while responders worked to clear the scene and care for those involved.
