Lexington, KY (January 27, 2026) – Emergency responders were called to a vehicle accident with injuries on the evening of January 26 along eastbound Interstate 64 near the 71.0 mile marker, close to the Scott County line.
The crash occurred around 8:33 p.m. and prompted a response from EMS and law enforcement agencies. The number of vehicles involved and the exact cause of the collision have not been confirmed. At least one person was reported injured and treated on scene.
Traffic on I-64 E was impacted during the emergency response as crews worked to assist the injured and clear the roadway. The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
