Lexington, KY (January 17, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched to a crash involving injuries late Friday night on Gold Rush Rd in the Open Gates neighborhood of Lexington.

The collision occurred at approximately 9:19 p.m. on January 16. EMS and fire crews responded quickly to the 200 block of Gold Rush Rd to provide medical assistance to those involved. Individuals at the scene were evaluated for injuries, though officials have not confirmed how many people were transported for further treatment.

The roadway was temporarily affected while emergency personnel assessed the situation and worked to restore normal traffic flow. The cause of the crash and the number of vehicles involved have not yet been released.
