Lincoln County, MO (August 11, 2025) – A rollover collision at the intersection of Highway 47 and Mennemeyer Rd left one woman injured on Sunday morning, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m.
Troopers report that a 2008 Ford Taurus, driven northbound by a 17-year-old girl from Troy, pulled into the path of an eastbound 2015 GMC Sierra operated by a 37-year-old woman from Lake St. Louis. The front of the Taurus struck the passenger side of the Sierra, causing the truck to overturn onto its roof.
The GMC’s driver sustained minor injuries and was transported by Lincoln County Ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Priority Towing.
Our thoughts go out to the victims as we hope for their recovery.
Intersection Rollover Crashes in Missouri
Rollover crashes at intersections can result in serious injuries due to the violent nature of the overturn and the potential for roof crush or occupant ejection. Sunday’s collision in Lincoln County illustrates how a failure to yield can quickly escalate into a dangerous rollover incident.
Missouri traffic safety officials advise drivers to come to a complete stop at intersections, carefully scan for approaching vehicles, and yield the right-of-way when required. Larger vehicles, like pickup trucks, are more prone to rolling over when struck from the side, making cautious decision-making at intersections critical.
