Lincoln, MO (September 11, 2025) – A traffic collision occurred Thursday afternoon at MO-47 and Linns Mill Road at approximately 1:30 p.m. The incident involved a 2015 Kia Optima and a 2009 Ford Edge, both of which sustained extensive damage. The crash was caused when the Kia Optima, driven by a 16-year-old female, failed to yield to an eastbound Ford Edge, driven by a 27-year-old female. The Ford Edge struck the passenger side of the Kia Optima, leading to significant damage to both vehicles.
Three individuals were transported with minor injuries to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis by Lincoln County Ambulance District. Among them were the drivers of both vehicles, as well as a 24-year-old female occupant in the Ford Edge. The Kia Optima was towed by its owner, while the Ford Edge was towed by Priority One Towing.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) is conducting an investigation into the cause of the crash, which occurred when the Kia Optima driver pulled into the path of the Ford Edge while attempting to turn onto Linns Mill Road.
