Lonaconing, MD (January 17, 2026) – Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident with injuries on East Main St in Lonaconing on the morning of January 16. The crash occurred around 9:30 a.m., prompting a response from Rescue Engine 20, Ambulances 350 and 352, and additional support units including CU19 and CH20.
Upon arrival, first responders located the damaged vehicle and began providing care to at least one injured individual. The crash took place along a central stretch of East Main St, not far from residential and local business areas. Paramedics on scene evaluated the injured party and coordinated transportation as needed.
Crews worked to stabilize the situation while directing traffic around the crash site to ensure the safety of those on scene. Emergency units remained for a period of time while clearing debris and documenting the incident.
