Long Beach, CA (September 10, 2025) – A serious rollover crash on Interstate 710 sent one person to the hospital with major injuries Tuesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol and Long Beach Fire Department.
The collision occurred around 9:36 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-710, just south of Willow St. Preliminary reports indicate that an SUV was involved in a collision with another vehicle before it overturned and landed on its side, trapping one occupant inside the wreckage.
Emergency responders from Long Beach Fire arrived on scene and quickly began extrication efforts. Using the Jaws of Life, firefighters were able to safely remove the trapped individual from the overturned SUV. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
No additional injuries were reported in the immediate aftermath. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the crash, including whether speed, impairment, or road conditions played a role.
