Long Beach, CA (September 13, 2025) – Emergency personnel responded late Friday night to a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision that resulted in injuries at the intersection of Granada Ave and 2nd St in Long Beach.
The crash occurred around 11:35 p.m. in the Belmont Shore area. According to dispatch audio from Long Beach Fire Department, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at or near the intersection and sustained injuries that required emergency medical attention. Paramedics were dispatched to the scene, along with other emergency crews, to evaluate and assist the injured individual.
Emergency responders from Long Beach Fire quickly arrived on scene and rendered care to the pedestrian. First responders, including paramedics, assessed and treated individuals hurt in the crash before arranging for further medical care. The condition of the pedestrian has not been publicly disclosed, and no information has been released about the driver involved.
The crash temporarily disrupted traffic in the busy nightlife corridor of 2nd St, a popular area known for its restaurants and weekend activity. The cause of the collision is under investigation by Long Beach Police Department.
