Long Beach, CA (September 21, 2025) – Emergency personnel responded to a serious traffic collision that required advanced life support (ALS) on Saturday afternoon along the northbound side of Interstate 605 in Long Beach. The crash was reported shortly before 2:00 p.m. near the South St exit, according to Los Angeles County Fire dispatch audio.
Paramedics and fire units, including Engine 23 and Squad 30, were dispatched to the scene where at least one individual sustained serious injuries. Emergency medical teams provided advanced life-saving care at the site before transporting the injured person to a nearby trauma center. The specific nature of the injuries and the current condition of the victim have not yet been released.
Authorities shut down portions of the northbound lanes as crews worked to stabilize the scene, assess the damage, and begin an investigation. Details about the number of vehicles involved or the cause of the crash remain limited at this time.
