Los Angeles, CA (September 17, 2025) – A chaotic collision involving a motorcycle and multiple vehicles caused major traffic disruption and left one rider seriously injured Tuesday night on southbound US-101 just south of N Alameda St. The crash occurred around 10:33 p.m., triggering a large-scale emergency response and temporary closure of multiple freeway lanes.
According to reports from the California Highway Patrol, the accident involved as many as four vehicles, including a red Toyota SUV, a black Toyota truck, and a motorcycle that ended up in the center of the roadway. The rider was found lying in the middle lanes, unresponsive but reportedly breathing at the scene. A group of bystanders had gathered around the downed rider before emergency crews arrived.
Responders worked quickly to stabilize the motorcyclist and coordinate medical transport, while law enforcement shut down several lanes to allow safe access for medical personnel and tow services. Flatbed trucks from LA Car Carrier and Pepe’s Tow were called to the scene to remove the damaged vehicles.
Although the exact sequence of events is still under investigation, initial communications indicated the motorcyclist may have been struck by multiple vehicles during or after the initial impact. At one point, all southbound lanes just south of Alameda were temporarily held while responders worked to clear the scene.
Authorities have not released the identity or condition of the injured rider, and further updates are pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
We hope the injured individual receives the care needed for a full recovery.
