Los Angeles, CA (January 30, 2026) – A multi-vehicle accident involving injuries caused significant lane closures late Thursday night on northbound Interstate 5 near the Los Feliz Blvd off-ramp in Los Angeles, according to California Highway Patrol reports.
The collision occurred around 10:34 p.m. and involved several vehicles, including a white Tesla Model Y and a black Kia Soul. At least one additional smaller vehicle, possibly a Toyota or Honda, was also reported to be part of the incident. The vehicles came to rest blocking lanes #1 and #2, prompting a full traffic hold on the freeway beneath the Los Feliz Blvd overpass.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and provided assistance to injured individuals. While the exact number of injured parties has not been confirmed, medical response was activated under the 1141 traffic collision protocol, indicating injuries were present.
Metro Towing was called to remove the vehicles involved, and traffic was backed up while crews cleared the scene and investigated the crash. Officials are continuing to examine the cause and contributing factors of the collision.
