Louisville, KY (August 18, 2025) – A hit-and-run crash was reported Monday morning on Manslick Road in Louisville after a blue Honda Civic struck another vehicle in the 4400 block and fled the scene. Witnesses told dispatchers that the suspect vehicle appeared to be driving erratically and possibly under the influence at the time of the incident.
Emergency responders and police units were dispatched to the scene shortly after 7:45 a.m. and began searching for the fleeing vehicle. The Civic was later located and stopped near Gloverleaf Church, where authorities conducted a traffic stop and began evaluating the condition of both the suspect and the crash victim.
Injuries were initially reported but had not been confirmed at the time of response. Medics arrived to check on the individuals involved, though the extent of injuries, if any, has not yet been disclosed publicly. Louisville Metro Police from Divisions 4 and 5 are currently investigating the crash and the actions of the driver who fled.
Our thoughts are with anyone affected by this incident, and we hope for a swift recovery for those injured.
Hit-and-Run Accidents in Louisville
Collisions where one driver flees the scene—especially when suspected intoxication is involved—are among the most dangerous and frustrating types of traffic incidents. Monday morning’s hit-and-run on Manslick Road illustrates how unpredictable and reckless driving behavior can put lives at risk, both during and after the crash.
In this case, the fleeing vehicle was stopped only after traveling several blocks from the impact zone, raising additional safety concerns for surrounding drivers. Hit-and-run victims are often left without immediate help, delaying treatment and complicating the legal aftermath.
Louisville streets like Manslick Road, particularly near residential and school zones, demand alert and responsible driving at all hours. When one party flees the scene, police investigations become more complex, and victims may struggle to secure compensation without legal and logistical support.
