Manchester, NH (August 8, 2025) – A Friday morning crash in Manchester left one person seriously injured after their vehicle plunged into the Merrimack River from I-293 North near the Second St exit. The incident occurred around 6:02 a.m. and prompted a major rescue operation involving fire, police, EMS, and marine units.
According to reports, the vehicle was discovered upside down in the river. Rescue crews located an unconscious patient, extricated them from the vehicle, and began CPR on the boat. The patient was transported by water to the Fisher Cats boat ramp, where advanced life support personnel took over before the individual was taken by ambulance to Elliot Hospital for further treatment.
