Manteca, CA (August 18, 2025) – A deadly collision occurred Sunday afternoon on northbound State Route 99 near the Lathrop Rd off-ramp in the Stockton CHP area, resulting in at least one confirmed fatality.
The crash was reported at approximately 2:25 p.m., and the California Highway Patrol quickly categorized the incident as a 1144-fatality. Emergency responders arrived on scene to find a vehicle off the roadway, though the total number of vehicles involved has not yet been released.
Medical crews assessed the scene and confirmed one person deceased. The identity of the victim is currently being withheld pending notification of next of kin. It remains unclear whether other individuals were injured or transported for treatment.
