Marion County, SC (June 13, 2025) – A pedestrian was fatally struck early Friday morning in Marion County in a crash on Highway 41 near Smith Millpond Road. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m., according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
A 2008 Chevrolet SUV traveling southbound on Highway 41 hit the pedestrian, resulting in the individual’s death at the scene. The driver of the SUV was unharmed and cooperating with authorities. Officials have not yet released the identity of the pedestrian.
The crash remains under investigation as law enforcement works to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
