Mechanicsville, VA (September 10, 2025) – Emergency crews from Hanover County Fire and EMS responded early Wednesday morning to a multi-vehicle crash near the intersection of Tammy Ln and Creighton Rd that left one person with an arm injury and prompted concerns due to a noticeable smell of smoke at the scene.
The incident occurred just after 9:15 a.m. and was initially reported through an automated crash notification system. Shortly after, responders made contact with a victim who reported pain in their arm and noted the odor of smoke in the aftermath of the collision. Multiple vehicles were involved in what authorities confirmed to be a rear-end chain reaction crash.
Engine 417 and accompanying units arrived on scene quickly and confirmed that all involved individuals had exited their vehicles safely. One person was evaluated on-site by paramedics for an arm injury. Fire crews also ensured that the presence of smoke did not indicate a fire hazard, and the situation was brought under control by approximately 9:29 a.m.

We extend our thoughts to the injured individual and wish them a full and speedy recovery.
