Mesa, AZ (August 12, 2025) – Emergency crews responded Monday afternoon to a two-vehicle collision in a parking lot at 1331 S Country Club Dr in Mesa. The crash involved a white Honda Accord and a gray Toyota Camry. While neither vehicle caught fire, one driver was reported to be speaking incoherently and appeared ill following the incident.
Mesa Fire, along with units from Gilbert Fire and Queen Creek Fire, provided immediate medical evaluation. The ill driver was treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital for further assessment. Authorities are investigating whether the medical episode contributed to or resulted from the crash.
Our thoughts are with the individual taken for treatment, and we hope for their full and quick recovery.
Car Accidents in Arizona
Collisions that occur in parking lots often happen at lower speeds but can still result in injury—especially if a driver experiences a medical emergency before or after impact. In Arizona, such incidents are sometimes linked to sudden health issues, driver inattention, or misjudging distances in tight spaces.
Safety officials encourage drivers to reduce speed in parking areas, remain alert to both vehicle and pedestrian movement, and seek immediate medical help if they feel unwell while driving. Quick response in cases of suspected medical distress can prevent further harm to both the driver and others nearby.
