Miami, FL (January 18, 2026) – A serious construction accident on the I-395 bridge near downtown Miami left six workers injured Friday night, triggering an extensive emergency response and causing significant road closures in the area. The incident, which occurred during nighttime construction activity, required a coordinated rescue effort from multiple agencies.
According to officials, the workers became trapped following a structural incident at the bridge site. Miami Fire Rescue teams, along with other emergency personnel, responded swiftly to the scene to extract the victims. Each of the injured workers sustained a range of injuries, and they were treated at the scene before being transported to local hospitals for further care.
