Midland, TX (August 7, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash in Midland resulted in two people being injured late Wednesday morning. The Midland Police Department responded to the scene in the 3200 block of North Loop 250 West East Service Rd at approximately 11:08 a.m.
According to police, the incident began when the driver of a northbound vehicle, referred to as Unit 1, experienced a medical emergency and veered off the road, striking two street signs. The vehicle then reentered the roadway and collided with the rear left side of another vehicle, labeled Unit 2, which was stopped at a traffic light at the intersection of North Loop 250 and W Wadley Ave.
The impact pushed Unit 2 through the intersection before coming to a stop. Meanwhile, Unit 1 continued traveling through the intersection and left the roadway again, crashing into a flagpole on private property in the 3300 block of North Loop 250 West. The driver of Unit 1 was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital and is reported to be in critical but stable condition. The driver of Unit 2 sustained minor injuries and was treated accordingly.
