Millsboro, DE (May 26, 2025) – A Sussex County man lost his life in a tragic motorcycle crash early Sunday morning after a vehicle veered into his lane on Millsboro Highway. Delaware State Police (DSP) confirmed that 58-year-old Antonio Hopkins of Millsboro was killed in the collision, which occurred around 2:30 a.m. just north of East Line Road.
According to investigators, a 2006 Toyota Sienna was traveling southbound on Millsboro Highway when it failed to stay within its lane while navigating a curve. The vehicle crossed into the northbound lane, directly into the path of a 2010 Victory motorcycle being ridden by Hopkins. The motorcycle was struck head-on, and Hopkins was ejected upon impact. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Toyota was carrying three passengers at the time of the crash. Two of them sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The third passenger was reportedly unharmed.
Delaware State Police have stated that their investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed as of this time, and authorities have not yet released information regarding potential contributing factors.
