Residential Traffic Crashes in Minneapolis
Crashes in residential areas like Southwest Minneapolis continue to pose risks for both drivers and pedestrians. Intersections along streets such as W 42nd St, often bordered by homes and small businesses, are prone to accidents due to reduced visibility, frequent stops, and higher pedestrian presence.
Many injury collisions in neighborhoods occur during midday hours when activity increases and traffic volumes rise. Distractions, hurried driving, and failure to yield at stop signs are common contributing factors.
Public safety officials urge drivers to remain cautious, reduce speeds in residential zones, and stay fully attentive behind the wheel to avoid collisions.
