Mission Valley, CA (December 21, 2025) – A motorcyclist was critically injured Friday night following a collision with a vehicle that made an illegal turn in the 3700 block of Clairemont Mesa Boulevard. The incident occurred around 8:40 p.m. near a shopping center in Mission Valley, according to the San Diego Police Department.
Officials stated that a 33-year-old man was riding a 2009 Suzuki motorcycle eastbound when a 49-year-old man driving a 2014 Nissan Sentra attempted to make an illegal left turn from the westbound lanes into a shopping center. The motorcyclist struck the passenger side of the Nissan, resulting in a violent impact.
San Diego police officers and firefighters responded swiftly to the scene. CPR was administered before the rider was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, including a brain bleed and multiple facial lacerations.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No arrests or citations have been announced, and the investigation remains ongoing.
