Naples, FL (April 23, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle collision on Collier Blvd just north of 3rd Ave NW early Wednesday morning resulted in critical injuries and major road disruptions. Emergency services from Greater Naples Fire and Collier County EMS were dispatched to the crash scene shortly after 8:11 a.m.
According to fire and EMS radio communications, both drivers were trapped in their vehicles following the impact. Firefighters performed vehicle extrications to free the occupants, and one driver was declared a “Trauma Alert” at the scene. That individual was airlifted by MedFlight to Gulf Coast Medical Center with serious injuries.
The crash forced the complete closure of all northbound lanes on Collier Blvd, as well as one southbound lane, as emergency crews worked to stabilize the scene, assist victims, and clear the roadway. The closure created significant traffic delays throughout the surrounding Golden Gate Estates area and beyond.
