Needles, CA (September 23, 2025) – A deadly head-on crash claimed one life Saturday afternoon along the southbound side of U.S. Highway 95 in Needles. The California Highway Patrol reported that the collision occurred at approximately 2:48 p.m. near mile marker 79.20.
According to early reports, two vehicles collided under circumstances that remain under investigation. It is not yet clear what led to the vehicles entering opposing lanes or whether weather, speed, or driver error played a role.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victim has not been publicly released, pending family notification.
Authorities have not provided additional details regarding the occupants of the vehicles or whether anyone else was injured. The investigation is ongoing.
