Orleans Parish, LA (January 16, 2026) – Emergency crews responded on Tuesday evening to a motor vehicle accident with injuries near the intersection of Drexel Drive and Washington Avenue in New Orleans.
The crash was reported around 6:40 p.m. in zone 1563. Ladder 9 was first on scene, joined by EMS unit Sierra Alpha, which was dispatched to assist with medical care for those injured. While the number of vehicles involved has not been confirmed, officials reported at least one person required medical attention.
Responders worked to stabilize the scene and evaluate the injured party as traffic was temporarily impacted in the area. The intersection lies within a busy residential section of the city, prompting additional caution as crews operated on site.
