The incident occurred around 12:20 p.m. on U.S. 250 in New Philadelphia while the technician and a truck driver were working on a disabled commercial vehicle parked on the road’s berm.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), the technician, a 24-year-old male, and the 28-year-old truck driver were working on the left front tire when a southbound dump truck drifted over the white fog line and struck the technician.
