Newport News, VA (September 19, 2025) – Medics and fire crews worked to assist those suffering from injuries after a two-vehicle crash in the parking lot of a Family Dollar near Jefferson Ave in Newport News. The incident took place around midday on Wednesday, September 17, and involved a dark blue Honda and a dark gray vehicle. Both cars sustained damage, with airbags deployed upon impact.
Emergency responders from Newport News Fire and Rescue quickly arrived on the scene, providing care to the individuals involved. The crash occurred near the crossings at 50th St and Edith St, in a busy commercial area. Airbag deployment indicates a moderate to severe impact, and at least one person sustained a variety of injuries requiring immediate attention at the scene.
