Newport News, VA (September 17, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a dump truck early Wednesday morning in Newport News. The collision occurred near the intersection of Jefferson Ave and Workshire Ct, directly in front of Goods Automotive, and resulted in injuries to at least one person.
Newport News Police and Fire units were dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:51 a.m., according to dispatch records. Responding crews, including Engine 3, Ladder 3, and Medic units, arrived quickly to assess the crash and provide medical assistance to those involved.
Preliminary information indicates that a dump truck turned into the path of another vehicle, resulting in a significant collision. The injured parties received treatment on-site, and at least one individual was transported to a nearby hospital.
