Norfolk, VA (September 12, 2025) – A male bicyclist in his 60s was seriously injured Wednesday evening following a collision with a vehicle at the intersection of Raby Road and North Military Highway in Norfolk.
The man was found bleeding from the head and rolling on the ground when emergency personnel arrived on scene around 8:08 p.m. Paramedics from Medic 16, along with Engine 4 and Safety One, provided immediate medical assistance at the scene. Due to the severity of the injuries, emergency care was administered rapidly before further transportation could be arranged.
The crash caused the roadway to be fully blocked at the time of the incident, creating traffic disruption in the 23502 ZIP code. Responders established command and coordinated efforts on Tactical Channel 2 as they worked to stabilize the scene and tend to the injured cyclist.
