Norfolk, VA (September 24, 2025) – A multi-unit emergency response was activated early Wednesday morning following a vehicle accident that resulted in injuries near Birmingham Ave in Norfolk. The incident was reported at approximately 6:10 AM, prompting crews from Engine 9, Medic 12, and other fire and EMS units to respond promptly to the scene.
Upon arrival, medical responders assessed multiple individuals who sustained injuries in the crash. Immediate aid was provided to those in need, and at least one person was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. The nature and severity of the injuries have not been officially released.
The crash occurred in a residential corridor not far from 21st St, an area known for moderate traffic during morning hours. Responders coordinated access around multiple vehicles involved, working to navigate through the scene and ensure safe treatment and vehicle clearance.
As of now, the number of vehicles and the cause of the accident remain under investigation. Norfolk Fire and EMS, along with law enforcement, are continuing their review of the incident to determine contributing factors such as driver distraction, mechanical failure, or road conditions.
