Norfolk, VA (September 10, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision at a busy Norfolk intersection resulted in at least one person being hospitalized Wednesday morning. The crash occurred at East Virginia Beach Blvd and Ingleside Rd, prompting a swift response from Norfolk Fire and EMS.
The incident was reported at approximately 7:36 a.m. and involved a red vehicle and a black vehicle, both of which remained upright following the crash. Emergency crews, including Engine 4 and Medic units, arrived on scene shortly after dispatch and confirmed the presence of injuries. One individual was transported to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters (CHKD), indicating that a younger victim may have been involved.
Rescue efforts were briefly delayed by light rail traffic in the area, a known challenge at this intersection due to its proximity to Tide Light Rail routes. Despite this, medical personnel successfully arrived and coordinated with fire crews to manage patient care and traffic control.
Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved or the circumstances that led to the crash, but the scene has since been cleared and traffic has resumed.
Our thoughts are with the person transported from the scene, and we hope for their full and speedy recovery.
