Norfolk, VA (September 22, 2025) – A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after crashing into a parked car Sunday afternoon near the intersection of North Beach View Street and Modoc Avenue in Norfolk. Emergency services rushed to the scene following multiple 911 calls reporting a violent crash.
The incident occurred around 4:44 PM local time on September 21. According to dispatch audio from Norfolk City Fire and EMS, the motorcyclist was found unconscious, struggling to breathe, and displaying combative behavior upon initial contact. Responders described his breathing as “agonal” — a sign of severe trauma. The rider was reportedly thrown from the motorcycle upon impact with the parked vehicle.
Engine 13, Medic 12, and additional support units arrived on scene rapidly. Beach View Street was closed to traffic near the intersection with Modoc Avenue, with officers directing vehicles away from the area. Medical personnel worked urgently to stabilize the rider, who continued to resist assistance, a reaction sometimes seen in traumatic brain injuries or shock.
Officials have not released the motorcyclist’s identity or an update on his condition. The scene was described as critical, and responders considered activating additional trauma support based on the victim’s unstable condition.
Our hearts go out to the injured rider, and we hope he receives the emergency care needed for a full recovery.
