Oakland, CA (September 15, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 580 near Keller Ave left at least one person injured Sunday afternoon and prompted a significant emergency response from the California Highway Patrol and local medical units.
The collision occurred around 4:35 p.m. and involved at least a silver 2020 Toyota Corolla and one other unidentified vehicle. Dispatch logs confirmed multiple 911 calls reporting the incident, and emergency responders were quickly routed to the area. CHP units classified the crash under “1181,” indicating a traffic accident with minor injuries.
Initial communication between CHP and responders suggested that at least four vehicles may have been involved, though only two were explicitly identified. A tow truck was dispatched to the scene under code 1185, and a rotation request was placed to remove the disabled vehicles.
