Oakland, CA (September 16, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on westbound I-580 near Highway 13 in Oakland resulted in at least one injury Monday evening, prompting a swift response from local fire and medical personnel.
The collision, reported at approximately 8:12 p.m., involved at least three vehicles, according to dispatch audio from the Oakland Fire Department. The accident occurred on a busy stretch of I-580 just east of the Highway 13 interchange, a notoriously congested section of freeway during evening traffic hours.
