Intersection Crashes in Omaha
Crashes like the one at 90th and Western Ave illustrate the injury risks that remain even when safety measures, such as seatbelt use, are in place. While seatbelts greatly reduce the risk of life-threatening injuries, collisions at intersections can still result in significant trauma, particularly to the chest, hips, and extremities.
Busy intersections in Omaha often experience high volumes of traffic, with frequent turning movements and changing light cycles. Distraction, speeding, and failure to yield are common contributing factors to such crashes.
Victims of intersection collisions may face medical bills, lost work time, and a lengthy recovery period. Early medical assessment and documentation are essential, both for health and for navigating insurance claims.
