Omaha, NE (January 21, 2026) – A two-vehicle collision near the intersection of 72nd Street and Ames Avenue resulted in at least one injury Tuesday morning. Emergency crews were initially dispatched for a property damage report around 9:41 a.m., but the call was upgraded after a woman involved began experiencing neck pain.
The crash involved a gray SUV and a black sedan. Responders requested medical assistance for the woman, who was reportedly hurt in the collision. The extent of her injuries has not been confirmed, but she was attended to on scene by paramedics.
Traffic was impacted temporarily in the area as first responders evaluated the situation and ensured safe clearance of the vehicles. The cause of the crash is still under investigation, and no additional injuries have been reported at this time.
