Orrville, OH (August 13, 2025) – Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in the 4700 block of S. Mt. Eaton Road. According to reports, a bicyclist was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.
The incident took place around 2:00 p.m., with the victim found in a ditch with a possible hip fracture and lacerations to the face. The patient also complained of leg pain and a head injury. Emergency medical crews responded promptly, and UH Air Med was requested to transport the patient to Aultman Orrville for further treatment.
The Ohio State Patrol (OSP) has been notified, and an investigation is underway to locate the vehicle and its driver. Authorities have not yet disclosed the type of vehicle involved in the crash, but witnesses are encouraged to come forward with any information.
The United Equine Center was the scene of the incident, but it remains unclear exactly what caused the vehicle to flee the scene.
